FOLLOWING reports that the Presidency has ordered an autopsy to be conducted on the remains of a corps member, Ifedolapo Oladepo, the family of the deceased may make its position known today.
A family source told Saturday Tribune that a press conference earlier fixed for Friday morning was shifted to today to enable a key member of the family to be present.
“A family press conference was earlier slated for this morning but was shifted to tomorrow (today) to allow Bimbo, the elder sister, to be available. This we have planned to properly address the lies of the NYSC and the minister,” the source, who did not want to be named, told Saturday Tribune on Friday.
The source, who condemned what the NYSC and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung called an “interim report” on the death of the corps member, described the suggestion that the lady died of a kidney disease caused by a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) as wicked and unfortunate.
“It has not been easy getting the elder sister of the deceased because that purported report broke her down. So, God willing, the world should hear from us tomorrow (today),” he said.
The source also said the family had not been contacted by the Federal Government on the reported presidential directive to exhume the body for an autopsy.
