Recently, the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Senator Abiola Ajimobi removed the names of many workers in the state from its pay roll for using fake certificates. The NLC chairman, Comrade Waheed Olojede, is expected to call on all Oyo workers to a meeting and warn those working with fake certificates.
It is saddening to learn that those who posses fake certificates are collecting salaries that are meant for other people. The government should stop employing job seekers with fake results. I am not happy with the system of employing people in Oyo State.
Everything has been politicised. Those who have god-fathers but without possessing certificates are getting jobs while the best brains with good results are loafing around the streets. It is not possible to work in the United State or United Kingdom with fake certificates.
It is in view of this, that I want to call on the Oyo State Head of Service Mr Soji Eniade, to begin to verify the certificates of job seekers at the point of entry.
This is the right time for Governor Ajimobi to fill vacant positions with the best brains. Those who have spent up to 35 years in Oyo State Service should go and leave room for fresh brains to be employed.
The government should also employ brilliant teachers to teach our students. It is the responsibility of the government to employ good teachers for our children to get quality education.
