Atiku assures youths, women 70 per cent participation in his govt

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to give 70 per cent participation for youths and women in his government if elected in the forthcoming election.

According to him, the youth will have 40 per cent, while women 30 per cent in his government, adding that the Ministry for Youth and Sports would be headed by a 30-year old.

Atiku, who gave this assurance during his presidential rally held at Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital on Thursday called on youth and women to massively vote for PDP, and protect their votes by ensuring they are counted.

“APC is not a political party as they all consolidate on the developmental plans of the PDP. Most of the projects done across the country were the handiwork of PDP,” he stressed.

He then challenged APC to come and show Nigerians where they started and completed any project carried out President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Also speaking, the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus said the PDP were out to canvass votes for Atiku/Obi, whereas president Buhari is hidden in the villa, planning to rig the election.

“Today Atiku is here for your perusal, where is Buhari?” he queried.

The chairman further warned the INEC to conduct a credible, free and fair elections if they so love the country.

On his part, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who informed that election is not all about Buhari or Atiku, but about the current challenges the nation is facing including poverty, unemployment, insecurity and among others.

He added, “APC promised Nigerians 3 million jobs, but instead we lost 10 million jobs. If you are not better today compared to the past, then vote them out.”

The Nasarawa State PDP Governorship candidate, Ombugadu called the people to vote out poverty, percentage pay and embrace hundred per cent salary pay with their votes.
