Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Olakunle Oluomo has asked commissioner-nominees whose named were submitted by Governor Dapo Abiodun to assist him in the development of the state.
Hon. Oluomo stated this on Monday during the screening of 17 out of the 18 nominees held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta.
The nominees who were screened by the Assembly include Honourables Ganiyu Hamzat and Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, Dapo AbdulRahman Okubadejo, Funmi Efuwape, Oluwafemi Ogunbanwo, Dr Tosin Taiwo, Prof Sidi Osho, Barr Gbolahan Adeniran, Engr Oludotun Taiwo, Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi.
Others are Olaolu Olabimtan, Morufu Afolabi Afuape, Dr Kehinde Oluwadare, Adebowale Akinsanya, Olatunji Akinosi, Dr Adeola Odedina and Tunji Odunlami.
Recall that Abiodun transmitted to the legislative arm by Governor Abiodun for screening, ratification and approval last week.
Oluomo also charged them to bring their wealth of experience in their respective endeavours to bear in transforming the socio-economic status of the state for the better.
The speaker also encouraged them to “establish and maintain a symbiotic relationship with the legislative arm at ensuring qualitative service delivery to the populace when confirmed.”
He further asked Governor Abiodun to consider more youth, women and people with special needs in subsequent set of appointments in the state.
