A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Alhaji Ilyasu Musa Kwankwaso, has advised the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and other key officials in President Bola Tinubu’s administration to ignore opposition attacks and stay focused on their responsibilities.
Kwankwaso commended Ribadu for his efforts in combating insecurity, noting that his leadership has led to the reclaiming of previously unsafe areas and the neutralisation of hundreds of bandits and insurgents.
He alleged that some opposition figures are unsettled by Ribadu’s achievements, but urged him and other officials to remain focused on their duties.
Kwankwaso also expressed confidence in the APC’s growing strength in Kano, citing recent high-profile defections from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
With the “APC gaining momentum”, Kwankwaso predicted that the party would recapture Kano State in the next election.
