Three suspected armed robbers who invaded Ago Okota area of Lagos State to rob residents of the community have been arrested by the police.
The arrested armed robbers who operated on a motorbike were reported to have successfully operated and were on their way out of the community when they were intercepted by the police.
The suspects were identified as Kingsley, Joseph and Emeka (surnames withheld).
Recovered from them were a locally-made pistol, four live cartridges and the operational motorcycle of the gang.
A police source at Ago Okota Police Station told Metro that the gang invaded Man City Bus Stop and robbed some people.
The police source said that the Divisional Police Officer directed a patrol team to the area, and on sighting the police, the robbers quickly jumped on their motorcycle and tried to escape before they were nabbed.
The image maker in charge of the state police command Dolapo Badmos , a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the arrest when contacted by Metro, disclosing that they had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigations.
