Afe Babalola seeks partnership with Ekiti hospital

The founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) Aare Afe Babalola has said there is need for a collaboration between the ABUAD Multi-system hospital and the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) in the interest of the masses.

He revealed that the state-of-the-art equipment and other investments in the hospital were aimed at improving the quality of healthcare delivery for the people regardless of their status in society.

The elder statesman spoke when the Chairman, Board of Management EKSUTH, Dr. Adedamola Dada led other members of the Board on a visit to the founder of ABUAD, in his office.

According to a statement by the head, corporate affairs department of EKSUTH, Rolake Adewumi, the renowned lawyer added that the synergy between ABUAD and EKSUTH would be much more valuable and desirable as the people will gain tremendously in terms of quality healthcare services.

Babalola urged influential individuals and organizations in the society to always assist the needy, adding that, “the only time human wealth is meaningful is when applied for the betterment of the humanity”.

Earlier, the Chairman, Board of Management, EKSUTH, Dr. Dada who welcomed the collaboration between the two institutions added that having such a working relationship will turn out not only to benefit both health institutions but to the advantage of society.

The Chairman who attested to the fact that the footprints of the founder of ABUAD, “is everywhere both nationally and internationally including King’s College, London endowment fund, said his kindness and philanthropic gesture is worthy of appreciation”.

Dada, therefore, called on Babalola, “to replicate his good works in EKSUTH in terms of building infrastructure, saying the process would be worked out”.

Also speaking, the Chief Medical Director of EKSUTH, Professor Kayode Olabanji expressed profound appreciation to the ABUAD founder, “ for all his good works especially for being a dependable father who is worthy of emulation, because he has set an enviable standard for this generation and those to come.”
