The new BOT members were unveiled to stakeholders in the nation’s integrated marketing communications space, in Lagos, recently, by the association, at a ceremony, designed to celebrate the retiring BOT members of the association and swear in new ones.
Commending the retiring BOT members, comprising the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Troyka Group, Mr. Biodun Shobanjo; the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of ServeWell Ltd, Mr. Ayo Owoborode and Executive Chairman of the Rosabell Group, Senator Akin Odunsi, the president of the association, Mr. Kayode Oluwasona, expressed the association’s gratitude to the trio, for their diligent service to the association in the past thirteen years, as Trustees.

“Under the able chairmanship of Mr. Ayo Owoborode, the team of Senator Akin Odunsi, Mr. Biodun Shobanjo, Sir Steve Omojafor, the late Mrs. Dorothy Ovbiagele and Mrs. Bola Thomas, in the last thirteen years, as trustees, have guided and led us with uncommon skills, experience, commitment, passion and maturity,” the AAAN boss stated.
He however stated apart from the retiring trio of Ayo Owoborode, Akin Odunsi and Biodun Shobanjo, the association would still have the benefits of Sir Steve Omojafor and Mrs. Bola Thomas serving on the new Board.
While welcoming the new Trustees, Oluwasona expressed the belief in their ability to continue the good works of the immediate past Trustees of the association.
“There is no doubt that these are hard economic times, and our members, industry and association are not immune from the effects of the biting realities. We believe that our new Trustees have what it takes to continue the good works of the immediate past BOT and that they will guide us aright,” he added.
Expressing the gratitude of the ‘retiring’ Trustees, for the opportunity given them by the association to serve, Mr. Owoborode advised the new Trustees to provide the association, the needed counsel, that would prepare members for the challenges ahead.
