FOUR persons suspected to be syndicates of car theft were today paraded by Taraba State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kamilu Ado Isah.
A gang of four suspected criminals who were said to have specialized in car snatching were arrested by the command through coordinated intelligence.
Parading the suspects, Kamilu said the suspects have been terrorising the people of Jalingo and its environs, by snatching their cars and other values items.
The commandant said luck ran out of them when a Vibe Saloon car they snatched from the owner, one Muhammed Adamu from Sabon Gari Jalingo was intercepted along Yola Gombe Road.
“When we received the report of the incident we quickly launched an investigation and through intelligence, one of the suspects was apprehended with the car along Gombe Yola road and through him, other members of the syndicate were arrested”
“From the information gathered so far, the suspects do take their stolen cars to sell to ready buyers in Gombe and Kano and sometimes the cars to end up in the Niger Republic.
“One of the suspects rent a house in Sabon Gari Jalingo just to keep surveillance on the people of the area and monitor who to target”.

“I, therefore, advise members of the public to be security conscious and monitor the movement of people around their neighbourhood,” he said.
The State Commandant noted that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as an investigation into the case is concluded.
Zaradeem Abdulahi (33)one of the suspected syndicates from Bauchi who confessed that he was driving the car to Gombe when he was arrested, however, said he was not aware that the car was a stolen one, saying he was only asked to go and deliver the car in Gombe.
The other members of the syndicate that were paraded by the NSCDC were Mohammed Bello (22) from Gombe,
Mohammad Shuaibu 27 from Bauchi and Mohammed Bello (32) also from Bauchi.
The car owner Mohammed Adamu a staff of Federal Medical Center Jalingo commended security personnel for recovering his car.
He told journalists that the car was stolen from his House in Sabon Gari Jalingo while he was asleep.
“I woke to go to the Mosque for morning prayers only to discover that my car was stolen. I quickly reported to security agencies and I am happy the car has to be been recovered. “
