The Chairman of the Abba Support Group (ASG) in Kano State, Barrister Sadiq Sabo, has reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Sabo made the declaration during an Iftar organised for All Progressives Congress (APC) executives in Gwale Local Government Area, held at the party’s local government headquarters.

He said the group would intensify efforts to mobilise grassroots support and strengthen political structures to ensure the continuity of the governor’s administration beyond 2027.

According to him, the ASG would continue to engage stakeholders, party members and the public on the achievements and developmental strides recorded under the current administration.

“We will not relent in our effort to support His Excellency. Our focus is to ensure that the good work he has started continues beyond 2027. We are committed to building a stronger base across wards and local governments,” he said.

Sabo added that the outreach to APC executives was aimed at promoting unity, cooperation and inclusiveness among political actors at the grassroots, particularly during the Ramadan period.

In his remarks, the APC Chairman in Gwale Local Government, Yusif Dankaka, commended the initiative, describing it as timely and reflective of political maturity and unity of purpose.

He urged party members to work collectively in the interest of peace, development and progress of the state.

Some beneficiaries at the event expressed appreciation to the organisers, noting that the support would assist them and their families during Ramadan.

The event was attended by party stakeholders, ward executives, youth and women leaders, as well as members of the Abba Support Group across Gwale Local Government Area.
