Sons and daughters of Idoma will throng Otukpo, Benue State, this December to celebrate the 2023 Idoma International Carnival as organizers have set the machinery in motion for the epoch-making event. According to the organizers, arrangements are in top gear to ensure the event, scheduled to be held in December, is a resounding success.

Dr. Edwin Ochai, the President of Idoma Association in the United States of America, stated that the carnival promises an extraordinary celebration of fun, culture, and entertainment that will leave attendees captivated and inspired.

Explaining the activities for the Carnival, Ochai stated that the festivities would kick off with a sensational gospel jamboree, serving as a unifying thanksgiving event for all attendees.

Ochai said, “Following this uplifting experience, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant carnival village, immersing themselves in the rich culture and heritage of the Idoma people.

“On the morning of the 24th of December, the city streets will come alive with the sight of bikers parading and a joyous peace walk, spreading a message of unity, love, and harmony.

“This symbolic event aims to commemorate the essence of the carnival, promoting peace and togetherness among participants.

“The carnival will climax on Christmas Day, with the highly anticipated parade and culture fiesta. Attendees will have the unique chance to witness a lavish showcase of traditional Idoma costumes, music, dance, and folklore.
