As political activities continue to gather momentum, a coalition of 100 groups stormed Abuja to prevail on the current Governor of CBN, Dr Godwin Emfiele to declare for the presidency in 2023.
The group with the name, The Green Alliance Movement, at a rally in Abuja said it has a penchant to identify and fish out many detribalised Nigerians who have made a positive impact in the development of the country and ask them to vie for sensitive positions to continue the good work in the interest of entire Nigerians.
In his speech at the rally in Abuja, the Convener of the Green Alliance Movement, Wales Fapohunda said the group has found that Dr Godwin Emefiele has the competency and capacity to lead Nigeria to the promised land after President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Fapohunda noted that the current crop of politicians have failed Nigeria hence the need for competent technocrats to occupy the highest seat of governance in the country to transform Nigeria for the better.

He described Emefiele as a patriotic Nigerian who has contributed to the stability of the nation’s economy through various programmes initiated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN )under his leadership.
He urged Nigerians to get it right this time around by joining hands with his group to prevail on Dr Emefiele to run for Presidency come 2023.
“Emefiele is the right peg in the right hole, he has made a positive impact in both private and public sectors, he understands Nigeria better, he has capacity to solve security problems in Nigeria and is the best man to diversify the nation’s economy for the benefit of all,” he said.
Fapohunda also disclosed that the Green Alliance Movement will round the six geo-political zones to enlist the support of prominent Nigerians to prevail on Dr Godwin Emefiele to run for Presidency come 2023.
It is however observed that the recent campaign posters of Dr Godwin Emefiele with the tag “MEFFY 2023” flooded major streets in FCT Abuja but the group denied being bankrolled by the CBN Governor.
