GOVERNOR Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has boasted assuredly that he will be returning as governor of the state come 2019.
He made the assertion while fielding questions from members of the Delta State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) held in Asaba on Wednesday.
Okowa was, asked if the construction of the secretariat ongoing would not be halted if the project was not completed at the end of his first term come May 29, 2019.
In his reaction, the governor asserted boldly: “I know I’m coming back as governor; I know I’m coming back as governor with my deputy by God’s grace.”
Earlier in his address, Dr Okowa disclosed that the state government was partnering with the World Bank to further train 600 youths in wealth creation through the state government’s entrepreneurial training.

According to him, while the state government will take up 40 per cent of the funding, the World Bank will foot 60 per cent of the entrepreneurial training.
The quarterly media chat was attended by Deputy Governor Kingsley Otuaro and other members of the state executive council.
