Dr Abiola stated these at Best Western Plus Hotel, Independent layout, Enugu, during an advocacy meeting in collaboration with PERL to facilitate the South East citizens to develop a charter of demand that will make political parties and elected representatives more responsible and accountable prior to their citizens during and post elections.
Dr Abiola, who charged all stakeholders from the Eastern states to avoid Godfatherism, lack of freedom of speech within their States, and non-consistency during election, said it will eliminate blockages to ensure that plans are dissolved to ultimate citizens.

She further maintained that the methodology of building a charter movement will make plans during election, ban candidate that is not with the people, ensure that the candidate is a good one and ensure that the election is free and fair for service delivery to the people.
However, Dr Abiola charged the civil society’s organisations, Media, INEC, and security agencies to all bear in mind that election is an accountability tool that can empower and disempower, break a country and also build the country, and urged Nigerians to examine themselves very well while collecting money from the politicians as that remains the only way hunger, hardships will keep increasing within the nation.
She called on the stakeholders to educate, advocate and act in their different states to actualise their goals of making the power of the people govern in the country.
She further called on the CSO to remain united to achieve their aims and targets.
The zonal coordinator, Mr Okey Onyeka, Prof Ayodele in their remarks, charged the stakeholders to ensure that whatever plans and strategy gotten is workable to shape the future of the great country.
Meanwhile, the Enugu Residence Electoral Commissioner (REC) Hon Emeka Ononamadu said INEC should be made the main institution of the citizens and should be guided well by it citizens.
He also solicited for a total correction among the South Easterners towards their low participation during election.
He further advocated that a strategy is designed for citizens and politicians while creating charter as he advised them to always work with facts and figures.
Highlight of the meeting was presentations and correction among the the five Eastern states.
