TWO persons lost their lives while 31 others sustained varying degrees of injuries on Saturday night when two vehicles were involved in an auto crash along Gbongan-Odeomu road in Osun State, TribuneOnline authoritatively gathered.
The accident which occurred around 11.00 pm was said to have involved a commercial Toyota Hiace bus and another Mazda bus.
An eyewitness informed our correspondent that one of the buses had a tyre burst and had a head-on collision with the other one, thus culminating in the death of two occupants of the vehicles, while 31 other passengers were critically injured.

According to one of the sources, “33 people were involved, two of them died, and 31 injured. All the injured were taken to SDA Hospital, Ile Ife. The remains of the victims were deposited in the morgue of Catholic Hospital, Ikire.”
When contacted, Osun Sector Commander of Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Peter Adeboye Oke confirmed the accident, saying “33 people involved, 31 injured and two others died,” adding that one of the buses lost one of its tyres, which made it run into another bus.
