This index, updated yearly by Henley & Partners, ranks passports across 227 global destinations. Here are the ten most powerful passports in the world.

1. Singapore

The Singaporean passport tops the 2024 list. It allows visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 195 destinations. Singapore has consistently ranked high for several years, reflecting its strong international relationships and favourable visa policies.

2. France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain

Tied for the second spot, citizens of these countries have access to 194 destinations without needing a visa. The strength of these passports highlights extensive international ties and the ease of travel for their residents.
