Leading Nigerian crypto platform Jeroid celebrated its 8th anniversary in grand style at The Jeriversary event on Monday, unveiling Afrobeats sensation Zlatan Ibile as its latest brand ambassador.
The star-studded event, held in Lagos, was graced by industry leaders, crypto experts, and government officials, including the Special Assistant to the President on Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, Mr. Ayo Adeagbo.
Jeroid’s CEO, Jeremiah Mayowa, took guests on a journey through the company’s growth, from its humble beginnings in a small apartment in 2017 to becoming Nigeria’s first ISO-certified crypto exchange in 2024, with recertification in 2025.
“We are only getting started. There’s more in store for our users and for the Nigerian youth at large,” Mayowa declared as he introduced Zlatan Ibile as the brand’s new ambassador.
Zlatan Ibile, born Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, is one of Nigeria’s most vibrant music stars, known for hits like “Zanku (Leg Work)” and collaborations with top Afrobeats artists. His energetic persona and influence among young Nigerians make him a perfect fit for Jeroid’s vision.
The event also featured a high-powered panel discussion on Nigeria’s crypto future, featuring key industry players such as Obinna Iwuno, President of SiBAN (Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria), and Mr. Obinna Egbuniwe, Senior Manager at the SEC’s Fintech and Innovation Office. Jeroid’s COO, Hassan Eniola, also shared insights on the company’s roadmap.
Guests were treated to electrifying performances, celebrating not just Jeroid’s milestone but also the resilience and creativity of Nigerian youth, who remain at the heart of the brand’s success.
With this new partnership, Jeroid continues to strengthen its position as a pioneer in Nigeria’s crypto space while bridging the gap between finance, technology, and pop culture.
