The edifice, which is located at Felele area of Ibadan according to Sonde was conceived long ago and therefore it was a dream come true. He added that though it is the work of God, but that it was a stepping stone to greater things in life for himself and humanity in general.
He said it was even auspicious now that Ibadan is becoming more and more cosmopolitan in outlook and that this type of idea will complement whatever the government and other individuals are contributing to the development of the city.
While appreciating the power of God in his life, he said it was his modest way of contributing to the broadcast industry and for the development of young and upcoming broadcasters in the country.
Speakers after speakers who spoke about the celebrant, who is also known as Jigan Akala attested to his steadfastness, determination and a sense of purpose.

Adelabu stated that the celebrant’s story is that of somebody from zero to hero and from grass to grace.
He said that the success of Sonde was not due to his brilliance or versatility but to the grace of God, praying God to continue to bless him with wisdom to reach higher goals in his life. He pointed out that he never had any reason for one day to regret being his friend for so many years, adding that it has been a blessing since they became friends.
Mrs Yinka Opaleye, whose late husband was a boss and mentor to Sonde, painted a glowing picture of the broadcaster, said he has almost filled the vacuum created by his late husband, through his actions and deeds to her family members. She reeled out many good things he had done for her family. She prayed God to continue to bless him with good health and prosperity.
The highest point of the occasion was the announcement that the Sonde FM Station will take off at the Media House latest by June of this year and that the Television Station will follow immediately.
