The Youth Council of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) has appointed Tochukwu Toks Young Umezulike better known as ‘Toks Asher Young’ as Youth Ambassador.

The appointment, which was announced in an official letter from the West African Youth Council is in recognition of his laudable antecedents of integrity, hard work, excellence and dedication in service.

The Recognition by the West Africa ( ECOWAS ) Youth Council highlights his exemplary efforts in talent development, building collaborative bridges and fostering a lasting relationship between Africans through music and entertainment.

This award which is an added feather to his cap of accomplishments is a boost and will surely encourage him to do more.

Mr Umezulike in an interview with TribuneOnline said the recognition award could not have come at a better time when he is working with youths across African countries to unite and collaborate more to bring about positive change with the music.

The event which took place at Summerset Continental in Maitama, Abuja had many key stakeholders and delegates from the ECOWAS youth council, legal practitioners, CSOs, medical personnel among others in attendance.

Highlights of the event were; the presentation of the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Intergrity, diplomatic number plate and ECOWAS identification card to Umezulike.

Well-wishers and friends present at the event extolled his innovative and leadership qualities saying he will make a great youth ambassador and that the award is well deserved.
