A Human Right Activist group, Women Arise for Change Initiatives on Monday protested against the arrest and detention of wife of Ede Muslim Grammar School administration head, Mrs Raliat Oladipo and her nine months old baby by the Police at Zone XI Police command in Osogbo.
The protesters led by the president of Women Arise For Change Initiatives, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin to Zone XI Police command described the detention of Raliat and her nine months old baby as barbaric and height of Injustice.
The protesters displayed placards with various inscriptions including “No to Police brutality” to Zone XI Police Command, Osun State Capital.”
Lamenting alleged Injustice meted out to Oladipo family, Odumakin said Nigeria Police is expected not to only protect properties of Nigerians alone, but also the sacred lives of the citizenry.

Okei-Odumakin urged the authorities of Zone XI Police command to release Mrs Raliat Oladipo and her baby so that they can seek medical attention, the detainee is a nursing mother.
Receiving the protesters, the Assistance Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone XI Police Command, Mr Adeleye Oyebade said he was not aware of the arrest of the nursing mother, saying police detectives who effected their arrest came from Police Headquarter Abuja.
He explained that “Policing with fear of God is my watchword, as a police officer if you must arrest, arrest with fear of God.
Oyebade, however, assured that necessary action will be taken with immediate effect to ensure justice on the arrested nursing mother.
