Why marrying rich man shouldn’t be a woman’s primary goal – Peter Okoye’s wife

Ivy Ifeoma, wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has shared her views on relationships, wealth, and financial independence, advising women not to make marrying a rich man their primary goal.

The social media personality made the remarks in a video shared on her TikTok page, where she spoke about the importance of building personal wealth and financial stability.

Addressing the topic of marrying a rich man, Ifeoma said women should focus on creating their own financial security rather than relying on a partner’s wealth.

She also responded to claims that she married Paul Okoye because of his financial status and the age difference between them.

According to her, she had already achieved financial success before meeting the singer.

She said, “This is my take on the idea of marrying a rich man, and before you come for me, know that I was a millionaire before I met this man [Paul Okoye].

“Marrying a rich man should not be anybody’s primary goal. Why would you even want to have a primary goal of marrying someone because they are rich? At the end of the day, it is their money, not your money.

“Don’t get me wrong, marrying rich is a very good add-on because it can open doors of opportunities for you. But what I will tell you to do as a woman is to get rich.”

According to Ifeoma, financial independence should be a priority for women seeking long-term security and personal growth.

While she acknowledged that marrying into a wealthy family can provide opportunities, she stressed that personal success and financial stability are more important.

Ifeoma further noted that successful and wealthy individuals often value ambition and hard work in a partner.

She encouraged single women to focus on self-improvement rather than making wealth the main factor in choosing a spouse.

Ivy Ifeoma is the wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy. The couple has often attracted public attention, particularly because of the age gap between them.
