Popular TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has shared the painful childhood experience that led him to convert from Islam to Christianity.
During a live session with his followers, Peller opened up about his time at a Quranic school, locally referred to as ‘Ile Kewu,’ where he said he was subjected to repeated physical abuse.

“I’m not a Muslim. I’m a Christian. I go to church,” he declared. “I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic school. That’s why I stopped going.”
He explained that what was supposed to be a place of spiritual growth became a source of trauma, ultimately driving him away from the Islamic faith.
The emotional scars from that period, Peller said, influenced his decision to leave Islam for Christainity.
Peller said the harsh treatment he endured as a child not only distanced him from religious education but also played a key role in his eventual decision to embrace Christianity.
