THE print media has been the victim of harassment by this government; the energy behind the miracle we are expecting is the print media. The downtrodden are so demoralised by the magnitude of corruption by past governments and the current oppressive regime that they are now numb to politics and instinctively passive.

Only then can we start talking about a total culture reorientation. The culture on ground now is that of stealing. We saw how a woman Alison Madueke did it. That is referring to the quote by Margaret Thatcher that resonates with Mrs. Azeez: “If you want something said, ask a man, if you want something done, ask a woman.” Indeed, Alison Madueke was a true gem in that respect. She was exceptionally ruthless in the damage to the treasury, confirming, “What a man can do, a woman can do better.” Hers was a manual for corruption.
