Where will our miracle come from?

THE print media has been the victim of harassment by this government; the energy behind the miracle we are expecting is the print media. The downtrodden are so demoralised by the magnitude of corruption by past governments and the current oppressive regime that they are now numb to politics and instinctively passive.

Mrs. Adeola Azeez, writing in the opinion page of the Nigerian Tribune of Wednesday, October 6, 2021, titled, re: “Of change, choices in 2023: put the crux of her piece on voters apathy and the preparedness of the youths for the 2023 elections.

Great! But I ask, elect who? When we stop deceiving ourselves, then the country will make progress. If we continue with the old ways and expect a different result, then we should all line up before a psychiatrist for proper check up

The political manipulators looming large in the political landscape will block any change of guards with the power of stolen wealth. How magnificently wrong one can be to encourage others to be part of the politicking going on now? The movement to join now is “#RestructureNigeria Now Movement.”

Only then can we start talking about a total culture reorientation. The culture on ground now is that of stealing. We saw how a woman Alison Madueke did it. That is referring to the quote by Margaret Thatcher that resonates with Mrs. Azeez: “If you want something said, ask a man, if you want something done, ask a woman.” Indeed, Alison Madueke was a true gem in that respect. She was exceptionally ruthless in the damage to the treasury, confirming, “What a man can do, a woman can do better.” Hers was a manual for corruption.
