Many people mistake body mist for perfumes. Body mist, also referred to as “body spray,” is a lightweight, airy, and subtle product.
It is less intense than perfume, including its concentration and fragrant oils, and the best time to use body mist is when you have just showered or had your bath.
You should apply it directly to your skin; it could be your leg joints, arm joints, and wrist.
Some body mists may contain ingredients that settle at the bottom of the bottle or natural oils. That is why you have to shake it before applying it to your body in order for it to be even when spraying. You should hold the bottle about 6 to 8 inches away to allow the mist to spread gently over your skin.
Body mist does not last long like perfumes; it could be just four hours. You need to frequently top up during the day if you want more of the scent on your body.
They are often available in larger quantities — you can disperse as much as you want all day. Its scent would make you more refreshed throughout the day, smell good, and hydrate your skin.
Benefits of body mist
I’ve explained more about body mist, but I’m not sure I have told you its benefits yet. Surely, there are benefits:
1. Good night’s sleep
A mild fragrance can help you have a good night’s sleep. Before going to bed, apply it all on your body, even on your pillows and bed linen. All you would feel and perceive is a beautiful, scented atmosphere. You would definitely fall asleep.
2. Nourishes the skin
A quality mist is made with skin-friendly ingredients that not only give scent to your skin but also nourish it. So, they can help revive your skin and keep you hydrated.
3. They are versatile
Your mist can serve multiple purposes. You can use it immediately after exercise, after bathing, on your linen, or disperse it in your room to create a pleasant smell and scent your skin.
4. Good for sensitive skin
If your skin quickly reacts to perfumes or if you are allergic to them, you should try body mist. You don’t have to worry; it has a lighter formulation and it won’t irritate you but rather soothe.
Body mist and Perfume
Remember, I earlier mentioned that some people mistake body mist for perfume. Here, I’m not to judge if you’re one of them; however, I have some differences to mention for you:
1. Longevity
Mists are mild because they contain alcohol, water, and fragrances. Unlike perfumes that contain higher concentrations of oil and last longer than mists.
2. Price
Body mists are not as pricey as perfumes due to their compositions. Yet body mist would still make you feel fabulous. Basically, mists are cheaper than perfumes.
3. Usage
Mist can be used directly on the skin. Perfumes are applied on top of clothes not directly to the skin.
4. Fragrance
Perfumes are quite strong and overpowering, while body mists are less intense and airy.
