‘Unbroken’ shines on Africa Magic’s Showmax

Months after its launch on Africa Magic, Showmax has been giving its audience something to always look forward to on its channel with the introduction of a new series, ‘Unbroken’, with the channel appearing to have finally gained the attention of many Nigerian television lovers.

The series centres on a couple, Tivdo Gyado and Jesse Jangfa, whose families have been friends for many years. Following an attempted murder at Tivdo’s parents’ 30th anniversary, the pair become engaged and appeared to be on their way to a lifetime of happiness, until a tragic event befell the engaged duo, testing their relationship in every possible manner.

With the followership the series has gathered appearing to show no signs of slowing down, many fans have hailed the series’ plot development which resonates with modern reality as well as the suspense which keeps them glued to their television sets, wishing another episode came as quickly as possible.

The production of ‘Unbroken’ is partly handled by the same brain which produced “Ajoche”, a critically acclaimed series dubbed by film lovers to be Nigeria’s ‘Game of Thrones’, James Omokwe. With the track record Omokwe boasts of, it seemed to be a matter of time before ‘Unbroken’ became the talk of the town.

The acting crew of ‘Unbroken’ is comprised of veterans and fast-rising actors such as Maimuna Yahaya, Wale Macaulay, Nonso Odogwu, Efa Iwara, Najite Dede, Kunle Coker, Big Brother Naija’s Thin Tall Tony, Debbie Felix and Micheal Ejoor.
