Suspected armed herders reportedly killed two people in renewed attacks on several communities in the Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.

Locals informed reporters on Monday that the incident occurred on Sunday in the areas of Edikwu G’Icho, Ole-G’ijamu, and Ukpogo, where the attackers invaded the communities.

One local, who spoke with reporters via telephone in Makurdi, mentioned that a pastor returning from church was among those killed during the ambush.

Additionally, the local authorities alleged that two women were raped during the attacks, and the victims were rushed to a hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
