White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt said Monday that President Donald Trump has not spoken directly with former President Joe Biden following Biden’s recent prostate cancer diagnosis.
Leavitt stated, “Not to my knowledge, I don’t believe they have spoken, but I’m sure the president would be open to doing that.
“I spoke to him last night about the former president’s cancer diagnosis and the statement that he put out was the initial reaction he had with me on the phone as well.”
Trump addressed Biden’s diagnosis on his conservative social media platform Sunday, writing: “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
Meanwhile Tribune Online reported that Former United States President, Joe Biden, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his personal office confirmed in a statement.
The statement revealed that Mr. Biden, who left the White House in January, was found to have an “aggressive form of cancer”.
In a recent development, Joe Biden has spoken out about his recent prostate cancer diagnosis, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support from the public.
The 82-year-old former president, in a post on Monday, shared a heartfelt message on social media, accompanied by a photo of himself and his wife Jill.
