President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, met with former military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was the first between both leaders since Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29.
The former Head of State’s visit came
two days after that of former President Goodluck Jonathan, who was at the Presidential Villa to brief Tinubu on his peace mission to Mali.
Nothing was disclosed about the agenda of Thursday’s meeting.
Recall that General Abubakar is the chairman of the National Peace Committee, which usually plays a trouble-shooting role during contentious moments at elections.
