The Federal Government has been urged to dialogue with secessionists as part of efforts to unite all aggrieved sections of the country.
Group Managing Director of Ojulowo-Omoluabi Empire Holdings, Victor Eniola Mark, said that there is no other option to achieving sustainable peace in the country other than through dialogue.
Mark said this on Tuesday when he was conferred with the Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Award of Integrity by the Yoruba Youths Parliament in Abeokuta.
He added that there is a need for the government and every stakeholder involved in the agitation for secession in the country to return to the negotiating table.
Mark said: “If you value humans, you will not be a bandit, you will not be a thief or be interested in anything that could hurt your neighbour.
“I am a Yoruba man and I love that fact. But we are human before we can be called Yoruba, Igbo, Fulani or Hausa. What keeps us together is more than any other thing. If we continue to divide ourselves, it will get to a point where we would begin to divide into smaller units.
“I am an advocate of peace, I believe whenever there is a form of disagreement it should be discussed and resolved. Youths just like myself should begin to eschew violence. Let us begin to discuss with people and not just get angry and take up arms.
“There are different ways to achieving the same result, but what is key is adequate dialogue. I love Yoruba so much but I do not believe in we breaking up and renaming ourselves.”

True! Consuming Rotten Tomatoes May Cause Liver Cancer
CLAIM: A Facebook user claims that the consumption of rotten tomatoes, popularly known as Esa in South-West Nigeria, can cause liver cancer.
VERDICT: The claim that the consumption of rotten tomatoes can cause liver cancer is true. The WHO noted that consuming mycotoxins found in rotten tomatoes can lead to long-term effects such as immune deficiency and cancer.
FULL STORY: A Facebook user, Adebisi Yusuff Adebayo, in a post, claimed that rotten tomatoes contain fungi which produce a toxin that may cause liver cancer.
According to the post, boiling and frying it does not help remove the fungi completely.
