Governor of Sokoto state, Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has presented not less than 15 brand new 18 seater Buses for the State Transport Authority to ease the draught of vehicles been experience in the company in recent times.
The general manager of Sokoto State Transport Authority (SSTA), Yahuza Abubakar Chika, with Bashir Sulaiman Dange, Director of finance SSTA as well as the SA to the Governor on SSTA, Hon Abdullahi Danjeka witness the commissioning of the buses earlier on Saturday.
The Buses which were commissioned on Saturday, 25 May 2019, has since commenced operations to various states of the federation.
The General Manager lauds Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for the gesture of providing the 18 seater buses to the company saying, it will boost revenue generation to the organisation and the state.
He reassured the state government that qualified drivers will handle the buses for optimum utilization and care.
On the fare approved the GM said the State government has reduced the cost of fare to minimum amounts to ease the usage by people of Sokoto and other states.
He announced the new fare as follows:
Sokoto to Abuja 3200.
Sokoto to Kano 2000.
Sokoto to Kaduna 2000.
Sokoto to Jos 3200.
Sokoto to Katsina 2000
Sokoto to Gusau 1000
Sokoto to Gombe 4000.
Sokoto to Niger 3200.
