18 people, including a personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps lost their lives on Saturday evening in an accident at Gbaga on Ikorodu - Sagamu road. The accident, according to the spokesperson of FRSC, Florence Okpe, involved seven vehicles. Okpe explained that the vehicles involved are Toyota Hiace bus marked AGL 752 YC, Daf truck marked T14007L, Honda car with registration number HT680, unregistered Daf truck , Pick up marked STF10204, and two motorcycles marked AGG 448 Q and PKA 214 WS . She explained that the accident was caused by wrongful overtaken on the part of the driver of the bus which led to collision with the Dad truck. Okpe stated that rescue operations was ongoing when the unregistered Daf truck had break failure and ram into the FRSC official who was part of the rescue officers and killed him. She noted that the truck also rammed into parked pick up, Honda car and the two motorcycles.
