The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, on Monday felicitated with a former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, who will clock 85 on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Speaker Abbas, in his congratulatory message to the first Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), hailed Chief Akande for his role as one of the founding fathers of the ruling party.
The Speaker noted that the solid foundation laid by Chief Akande and other progressives for the APC has sustained the party in power since 2015.
Speaker Abbas said Chief Akande, as an elder statesman, has been a political mentor to many and an inspiration to the ruling class.
The Speaker prayed to God to grant Chief Akande a longer life in good health, as Nigeria needs the continued guidance of men like him.
