Rising music star, Odeleye Temiyanju, popularly known as LyonKing, has said he is not in competition with anyone rather he is concentrating more on making himself better.
The Afrobeats and Pop singer, while fielding questions from journalists recently said music to him, is life and he uses it as a weapon to communicate how he feels and how he reacts to things generally.
LyonKing, who broke into the industry some years back, precisely in 2019, caught the attention of music critics while amassing massive supports from music lovers.
Reacting to whether he is competing with anyone, he said he has been focusing on himself and how to give his fans the best of conscious music.
“I felt like I needed to take a pause and review what I was doing, so it is all just being a better me. So, I’m not here to compete, rather win trophies and make my ever supportive parents and fans proud at the end. So, I would say my fans should just please pay perfect attention to me.”
LyonKing however expressed that his only challenge in the cause of trying to be a successful artiste is learning to put himself out there. “I am this type of person that’s quite reserved to some extent and more of a perfectionist. But I guess being successful in general comes at a cost and I’m definitely willing to pay the price.
