RMG chides Tinubu over comment on Olakunrin’s death

A group, Rescue Mission Group (RMG) of Oyo State, has condemned the comment credited to the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu, over the murder of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

The convener of the group, Chief Tunji Adeoye, in a release through its spokesman, Marufh Bello, said the statement by Tinubu was unbecoming of a true son of Yoruba.

Chiding Tinubu for asking for whereabouts of the cows at the scene of the killing, Adeoye said “of course, cows do not have to be at the scene of the murder before it is concluded that the killing must have been carried out by the Fulani herdsmen, going by the increasing records of atrocities being committed in the South-West by these members of a section of our country.”

The elder statesman asked Tinubu to first think as a Yoruba man before “any other consideration, whether political or nationalistic,” advising him against sacrificing his home for any personal ambition.
