Prominent Lagos politician and grassroots mobiliser, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, has recorded a major spiritual and religious milestone following his emergence as a top adviser to the Spiritual Leader of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa.

The development has generated conversations within both political and religious circles, with many observers describing it as a significant recognition of Odunmbaku’s longstanding involvement and influence within the church community.

Known for balancing politics with strong religious affiliations, Odunmbaku has remained a visible figure in Lagos grassroots politics, while also maintaining deep ties with the Celestial Church movement.

Sources within the church revealed that his advisory role will involve supporting the spiritual leader on matters relating to administration, outreach and strategic engagement within the church structure.

The appointment is seen by many as a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the church, particularly given his experience in mobilisation, leadership and community relations.

Supporters and admirers have since congratulated Odunmbaku, describing the new role as both a spiritual elevation and a call to greater responsibility.

For many within Lagos political circles, the development further reinforces Odunmbaku’s unique ability to maintain relevance across both political and religious platforms, strengthening his profile as a respected figure within grassroots and faith-based communities.
