Mrs Ajimobi stated this when she received a team of visitors led by the wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, Mrs Omobolanle Olonisakin from the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), in her office.
She asserted that only healthy citizens could positively impact upon the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which would translate to economic growth.
On her part, she pointed to the Access to Basic (medical) Care foundation where at least 600 people were given free medical care on daily basis.
She lauded DEPOWA for enhancing social welfare through their activities.
Earlier in her address, the wife of the Chief of Defence Staff and president of DEPOWA, Mrs Omobolanle Olonisakin commended the Acess to Basic Care foundation considering the number of individuals it has impacted in the past six years.
She also lauded the strides of the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led administration especially in infrastructure and human development.
Mrs Olonisakin pledged the support of the association to the state government activities in delivering social welfare to children, women and the aged in the society.
