The founder and president of Christ for the Deliverance Empowerment Initiative Incorporated, Lagos State, Prophet Oladele O. Omoniyi, has charged Christians to remain steadfast in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and winning souls for the kingdom of God.

Prophet Omoniyi gave the charge in Lagos on Friday during activities marking his 66th birthday, using the occasion to reflect on his life, ministry, the church, and the state of the nation.

He stressed the need for people to know and trust God amid the current challenges facing Nigeria, saying, “We are in the end times, and Jesus Christ can come at any moment. Therefore, we must always be prepared.”

The cleric, who hails from Efon Alaaye in Ekiti State, expressed gratitude to God for attaining the age of 66, noting that both his ministry and God’s work in his life have continued to grow spiritually and physically.

Delivering his message to the church, Prophet Omoniyi urged Christians to embrace God and His word in all aspects of life.

“I will continue to serve God and preach the gospel of Christ with all my heart and everything I have,” he said.

He also called on Nigerians to keep faith in God and abstain from sin, despite the nation’s economic and social difficulties.

“We should strive to make heaven by all means, regardless of whatever we are going through in this country,” he added.

Reflecting on his early ambitions, the prophet revealed that he once aspired to become either a lawyer or a journalist in order to defend the rights of the people, but answered the call to ministry in 1994.

According to him, his evangelistic mission has since taken him to several countries, including France, Ghana, Benin Republic, Mali, and Côte d’Ivoire, among others.

“I still desire to travel around the world to preach the gospel and win more souls for Christ,” he said.

Speaking on the legacy he hopes to leave behind, Prophet Omoniyi said he wishes to be remembered as a devoted evangelist of Jesus Christ, a committed servant of God, and a philanthropist.

Beyond his ministerial work, Prophet Oladele Omoniyi is also the proprietor of several schools in Ekiti and Ondo states, Managing Director of Christ for the Deliverance Real Estate Properties Limited, and a former unit coordinator of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Alagbado, Lagos.

He is also known for his contributions to community development, having served as General Secretary of the Olajide Community Development Association (CDA), during which three roads were constructed in the community and a bus stop was named after him.
