Praiz D, the emerging star hailing from Akwa Ibom, specifically Oruk Anam LGA, left the audience spellbound with his dynamic performance of the chart-topping hit ‘Konji and Amina’ at the ‘King’s Night With Ceeza Milli’ show. The event, held at Piccadilly Street, Lekki Lagos on February 17th, 2024, featured an array of renowned artists such as Berri Tiga and Dj Crex, transforming the night into an unforgettable experience.

Praise Davis Akpan, widely recognized as Praiz D, has been making waves in the industry with his recent freestyle release EP titled “Depressed.” The EP, consisting of four sensational tracks, has evoked raw emotions and garnered positive reactions from online listeners and his social media fans. Praiz D has announced that the EP will be complemented by a visually stunning music video.

In an exclusive interview, Praiz D shared the origin of his name, a fusion of personal identity and familial homage. “Praiz,” a stylish variation of his real name “Praise,” is coupled with the letter “D,” paying homage to his father, Davis. This blending of self and heritage adds depth to his musical journey. Praiz D emphasizes that “Depressed” encapsulates the tapestry of his life’s experiences and emotions, standing as his most contemplative project to date. Despite a repertoire of numerous tracks, this EP stands tall as his inaugural official full-length project, with every fiber of his being meticulously woven into this musical masterpiece.

In a candid revelation, the artist acknowledges anger and pain as constant companions, a double-edged sword shaping his existence. Music emerges as his sanctuary, providing an avenue to fully express and cope with these powerful emotions. “Depressed” serves as a therapeutic conduit, enabling him to navigate the intricacies of emotions that once haunted his younger days.

Crafted from the depths of his pain, Praiz D’s goal with “Depressed” is to extend healing to others, viewing his own experiences as a wellspring of solace for those facing similar struggles. The EP becomes a testament to the transformative power of music, translating personal pain into a universal source of comfort and understanding.

The artist acknowledges the immense effort and dedication poured into creating his debut EP, assuring listeners that the blood, sweat, and tears invested in every note and lyric will resonate throughout their lives. Praiz D invites his audience to carry this musical journey with them, recognizing the lasting impact it is bound to impart. With “Depressed,” Praiz D not only cements his status as a musical artist but emerges as a melodic alchemist, transmuting the lead of personal pain into the gold of healing melodies.
