Four suspects including two females have been arrested in Asaba, Delta State capital for being in possession of a fabricated English Baretta pistol with five rounds of live 9mm ammunition.
The suspects, one Blessing Oghule and Nweke Abudi were nabbed along with their male cohorts Ebuka Paul and Sunday Inuse when operatives raided a black spot in the Abraka axis of Asaba metropolis.
According to a statement by the state police, public relations officer DSP Bright Edafe on Monday, five suspected stolen phones, one handbag containing weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, one nylon bag containing substances suspected to be ice and ten wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine were recovered from Blessing Oghule.
In another development, seven suspected cultists have been arrested in Obiaruku, Ukwuani council area of the state as operatives of the Command’s anti-cult unit (SACU) raided a suspected hideout.
One locally made short gun, one battle axe, a cutlass, knife and charms, the statement said,were recovered from them.
