Though the mega rally planned by Yoruba Nation agitators failed to hold on Saturday at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, some of the protesters, despite heavy police presence still surfaced around the area, demanding for Oodua Republic, saying they were tired of being part of Nigeria.
This was happening simultaneously as the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu, was addressing newmen, explaining reasons why the police had to outlaw the protest, maintaining that the time was not right, few months after the #EndSARS protests during which the state suffered monumental losses.
Meanwhile, police have disperse the protesters using water cannon, even as they fired blank bullets.
