No fewer than 46 suspected cultists have been arrested by men of the Ondo Police command, following a clash between rival cult groups which claimed six lives between Monday and Tuesday.
The cult clash which occurred on Monday evening in Ondo town, Ondo West local government area of the state, was between two rival groups in the town.

Confirming the arrest, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olusola Ayalade, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspects were arrested across the ancient town.
Ayanlade said that efforts were ongoing to arrest others members of the cultist group, disclosing that some of them were arrested with firearms and ammunition in their hideouts in the town.
He said some of the suspects had ran out of the town but assured that they will be arrested in no distance period.
He said “We want the people of Ondo town and Ondo State generally to remain law abiding and cooperate with the police.
“We will not rest until we arrest the remaining people that are responsible for the crisis.”
It will be recalled that a cult clash occurred on Monday and lasted till Tuesday night, with six people killed and many people injured during the crisis.
