Senator AVM Napoleon Bali (rtd), representing Plateau South in the National Assembly, has called for collaboration among the Nigerian Senate, the Executive arm of Government, and the Service Chiefs to address the issue of insecurity in the country.
In a statement released in Jos and made available to the Nigerian Tribune, the Senator emphasized the need for the 10th National Assembly to develop strategies and suggest them to the Executive arm.
This collaboration would involve working together with the Service Chiefs and the Ministry of Defense to effectively tackle the security challenges facing the nation.
Senator Bali expressed concern over the dominance of non-state actors in game reserves across the country. He stressed the importance of taking action to address insecurity, stating, “We must work together to tackle insecurity in the country. Our military should be encouraged to operate effectively during nighttime. The National Assembly must prioritize the protection of citizens and support our security operatives.”
