The Chairman of Olorunda Local Government Area of Osun State, Kunle Kudaisi, has sympathised with victims of the rainstorm that ravaged parts of Osogbo at the weekend, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
The rainstorm claimed one life and left several others injured after a tree and an electric pole collapsed on a shop in the Sabo area of the town.
Several houses in the affected areas had their rooftops blown off, while electricity cables were left strewn on the ground, disrupting power supply.
Kudaisi, who conducted an assessment tour of the affected communities, said no effort would be spared to alleviate the losses suffered by victims.

Areas inspected during the tour included Sabo, OtaEfun, Okefia, Igbona, and Owope.
Kudaisi disclosed that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had been notified of the incident.
He added that the council was compiling a detailed report on the extent of the damage to facilitate substantial assistance from NEMA.
“We identify with the victims. We are already working on palliatives to give succour to the victims,” he said.
