As the contest for his re-election draws closer, Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has affirmed that no force, whether opposition parties or groups of individuals, can undermine his administration’s transformational projects across the state, despite what he described as “pull-him-down” campaigns.
The governor made this assertion during the foundation-laying ceremony of the Osun Development Association (ODA) House and the launch of the Teachers Transformation and Empowerment Programme in Osogbo.
According to him, “My administration will not rest or grow weary of initiating more projects and reforms, while seeking partnerships with groups and individuals to further strengthen the foundation for the state’s future growth.”
Represented by the State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr Bunmi Jenyo, Governor Adeleke stressed that the administration remains focused on expanding opportunities for youths, empowering communities, and attracting investments that will create jobs and improve living standards.
While commending ODA for its contributions to the state’s development, the governor assured the association of his administration’s readiness to deepen collaboration to make Osun State more economically viable.

He said, “Across the state, we have recorded progress in road rehabilitation, school renewal, health facility upgrades, and social protection programmes. Our commitment to the prompt payment of salaries and pensions has restored confidence and dignity to public service.
“These achievements reflect our resolve to rebuild trust and lay a solid foundation for long-term growth. We are not resting on these gains, as more projects and reforms are underway,” he added.
Speaking at the event, ODA Chairman, Dr Segun Aina, said the plan to expose teachers in Osun State to quality training would not only enhance their classroom delivery but also improve students’ performance in both internal and external examinations.
He noted that the association has previously been involved in initiatives aimed at stimulating the state’s economy, as well as interventions in the education and health sectors.
Dr Aina appealed to the state government to provide the association with a parcel of land for the establishment of industrial parks, which he said would boost Osun’s economic development, attract investors, and strengthen commerce and industry in the state.
Also speaking, a foundation member of ODA and former Registrar of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Prof. Olu Aina, pledged his support towards ensuring the successful execution of the association’s projects.
