Osun govt to train 5,000 jobseekers

The Osun state social investment focal persons on Monday said the state government has concluded every necessary arrangement to train over 5,00O job seekers in different entrepreneurial skills.

The coordinator of the programme, Kehinde Ibitoye who made this known in a statement in Osogbo, stated that the initiative is in tandem with the present administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to creating job-makers across the state who will in turn creates job opportunities for Osun job seekers.

He, however, explained that the first phase of this initiative will only allow the selected 5,000 Osun state participants to seek entrepreneurship knowledge online and get a certificate of learning at the end of the 30days learning period which proposes to kick start by May,1st to 30th 2023 while the certificate of learning will be ceremoniously handed over to all the participants by the Osun state government in Oshogbo at the latter date to be agreed on by the stakeholders involved.

“The project was facilitated by the office of the focal person to the Osun state government via the Federal Government social investment initiative led by Hon Kehinde Ibitoye.

“Fidelity Bank’s commitment is to facilitate the opening of corporate and individual accounts for all the 5000 participants, offering them SMEs loan to only qualify businesses and also provide other business banking support services for them subject to the bank procedures.

“The 5,000 participants are expected to enjoy the full support of the state government when the state eventually launched its small and medium enterprises programme.

“UNIPRENEUR e-learning platform is founded by Olubunmi Oluwadare, a serial entrepreneur and author of the popular entrepreneurship development and Africa investment drive book “I SEE MONEY IN AFRICA”

“Presently Director, Strategy and Trade Relations at Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs (A.Y.E and Unipreneur access code will be sent to all the Osun state 5000 participants by May 1st,2023.”

According to him, entrepreneurship development learning initiative is powered by UNIPRENEUR, an international digital entrepreneurship e-learning platform in partnership with Osun State govt supported by Fidelity Bank Plc.

He said the aim of the initiative is to empower 5000 Osun state indigenous entrepreneurs, SMEs, job seekers, NYSC members, workers and graduate students to have access to the tools:

“Get stimulated entrepreneurship knowledge economy, get access to over 600 profitable business ideas and stimulated business knowledge.

“Access to various business opportunities in Africa, register your company with CAC and get access to other legal services, get a logo/branding/website/app and get access to various skills.
