A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Dideolu Falobi, has paid a consultation visit to the party’s state secretariat in Osogbo as part of his engagement with party leaders and elders ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting on Friday, Falobi expressed confidence that the APC candidate would defeat opponents from other political parties in the coming election.

He said, “I am on a consultation visit to the party’s leadership and elders in the state.

According to him, “consultation must continue to engage and consult with what I call the stakeholders of the party and one very critical stakeholders we have come to meet today.”

“First, I have met with the chairmen of the local governments and we have just concluded a meeting with the Executive Committee of the party in Osun State.”

“Continuous process is on. It’s not over until it’s over. We will continue to engage and to consult with other leaders. Like I said, there are quite a lot of layers and our strategy might be different from the others and there is a deliberate reason for it.”

“We will continue to engage for the best of our party, the best of the state and the best of our leaders and most importantly, to win the state for the party in 2026 and to win it massively with a landslide for the president in 2027.”

Falobi maintained that the party has the structure, strategy, and organization needed to secure victory at the polls.

On President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the aspirant said the president inherited a struggling economy and urged Nigerians to remain patient as reforms take effect.

He said the country is close to a turning point and expressed optimism that normalcy will soon return.

According to him, “there’s something I want to emphasize here, there’s a State and National lack of understanding of how well President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has gone. It is unbelievable in 2-2 &1/2 years, he has done marvelously well and thank God, the result will begin to show.”

“A few months like Dangote said, the rate will come down, in a few months food will be better and he is fighting everything with a multi pronged attacks on all the challenges that we have.”

On APC’s prospects in the 2026 Osun governorship race, Falobi said, “I’m very positive that in Osun, in Nigeria, we will win, APC will win, I have no doubt about it.”

“The All Progressive Congress (APC) is a party that has a structure and has processes, and at the peak of that structure, we have a few individuals and below them, we have an organization below them, we have in layers like that of people who are critical to the party.”
