The Imope Youth Development Association (IYDA), in Imope, Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun, has raised the alarm over the disappearance of one of its members, identified as Lanre Jonny Idowu.
According to a statement signed by the leader of the association, Abimbola Adeshina, and Public Relations, Mrs Obayemi Adeola, Idowu, was said to have been missing for several years, a development that has thrown the community into confusion.
The Association, therefore, appealed to the public for any information that could help locate him.

The statement was accompanied by a police confirmation letter dated November 28, 2022, issued at the Divisional Headquarters, Awa-Ijebu, and signed by Administrative Officer, ASP Oyalogun Ajayi.
The association described Mr. Idowu as a dedicated community member, philanthropist, and youth mobiliser whose absence has left a huge vacuum.
“Our community has been in disarray since the disappearance of Mr. Lanre Jonny. We believe it is important to tender this matter to the public, in case anyone can help us trace his whereabouts.
“They recalled his many contributions, including financial support for youths, payment of school fees for students, and assistance to the less privileged.
“Mr. Lanre Jonny was a man of integrity who touched many lives. His philanthropic gestures and unwavering commitment to the community are reasons we cannot remain silent about his disappearance,” the statement added.
The group further noted that their annual community carnival often reminded them of his absence, as he had played a key role in mobilising youths for football matches and other social activities, and appealed to members of the public to come forward with any useful information.
“We appeal to the public, wherever he may be found, to kindly inform us or the appropriate authorities.”
