Barely two weeks after his inauguration into the 10th legislature of Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Lawal Samusideen, has inaugurated some borehole projects in Toga/Lokula constituency in  Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the state.

The Ode-Omi born lawmaker had a stop-over at Toga village in Ibiade, where he met with party members and residents, before he proceeded to inaugurate a borehole project in Ibiade and Lokula in Ilusin, all in Ogun Waterside.

Nigerian Tribune further gathered that the lawmaker also inaugurated a constituency office that will serve as a feedback mechanism and link between him and his constituents on Ilushin/Abigi road.

After the inauguration, a reception was organised in honour of the lawmaker at Abigi town hall, where religious leaders, party leaders and captains of industry were in attendance.

Speaking during the town hall meeting, Lawal described the lawmakers in the 10th  legislature as a set of brilliant and dedicated politicians.

He further craved their indulgence at the event to seek their cooperation and support in order for him to attract life-touching projects to Ogun Waterside.

“The resuscitation of power supply into the local government area in no distant time will be one of my priorities,” he said.

Part of the issues discussed at the meeting centered on the resuscitation and upgrading of the Gateway Industrial and Petrochemical Institute (GIPI) into a conventional polytechnic, while the establishment of a satellite campus of Western Coast Maritime Academy in the local government area was also addressed.

The lawmaker announced the donation of 10 hectares of land for the establishment of the satellite campus of Western Coast Maritime Academy.

Scholarship award was also awarded to 20 indigents by the Director of Western Coast Maritime Academy, Captain Azeez Ogunyemi, on behalf of the lawmaker.
