Ogbomoso to stand still for RK1 ’s 35 years on stagePopular Fuji musician, Ramon Akanni (a.k.a) RK1, is celebrating and will host a show at Ogbomoso, Oyo State, as dignitaries from all walks of life, stakeholders of the industry, colleagues and fans will converge to  celebrate with the musician’s 35 years of his fruitful career.

Some of the dignitaries that will grace the 2-in-1 event include the special guest of honour of the event, former  governor of Oyo State, Chief Alao Akala; the chief launchers, Senator Fatai Omotayo and Osun State

Secretary to the Government, Moshood Adeoti; Alhaji Monsuru Ejide,  Alhaji Tajudeen Kolawole are also the chairmen, while Alhaja Bola Yusuf would be the chairperson of the day.

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, HIM, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, will also lead other monarchs including the Oloffa of Offa, Oba Mututau Muhammed; Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Oba Abdul Ganiyu; Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, oba Francis Olusola Alao; Onipe of epe, oba Mufutau Adebayo, among others to the event, which promised to be colourful.

Friday Treat learnt that the event slated to hold on October 8, will commence with a public presentation of the book titled: “Mr Lecturer”, while the celebration of Rk1 will hold later in the day at the Havilah Event Centre, Ogbomoso.

Rk1, who is optimistic about the success of the event, hinted that all is set to host all and sundry that would celebrate him, adding “I see this as a great and I thank God for everything. It has been a divine grace to be part of one of the celebrated musicians in Nigeria and the Fuji circle. My greatest joy is that I am witnessing the celebration of my life and times. I am not getting tired of music, even after 35 years. I am still very active, as well as still have a lot to deliver in the industry. My upmost goal is to redefine the industry and I know God will help me to achieve this.”
