The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Dr Ndagi Al-Hadsan, has commended the nursing programme of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Dr Al-Hassan, who was special guest of honour at the maiden induction and swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 graduating nurses of Crescent University, particularly expressed satisfaction with the university for recording hundred percent success rate six consecutive times in the Nursing Council’s professional examinations, namely RN, RM and Public Health.
He promised to do everything possible within his capacity to assist the university.
Dr Al-Hassan appreciated the vice chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, and his team for constantly developing human capacity and future leaders in Nursing.
He also lauded the head of department of Nursing, Dr Ademola Shafiu, with his faculty members, for continuously leading his students to success.
In his earlier remarks, the vice chancellor, Prof. Gbajabiamila, highlighted the contributions of Crescent University founder, the late Prince Bola Ajibola, who ensured that the future generations benefited from his legacy.
In his remarks, Dr Shafiu said he was proud that the new inductees would thenceforth add after their names the acronyms RN, RM, PHN and BNSc immediately after their convocation ceremony scheduled for Saturday October 18, 2025
In a related development, the first set of graduating students of Nursing also took their oath, referred to as Nurses’ Pledge, at the induction ceremony officially conducted by Dr Al-Hassan.
Also present at the event are Prof. Rasaki Kareem, Deputy Vice Chancellor; Barr. Zakariyya Ajibola, Registrar; Dr (Mrs) Mulikat Salaam, University Librarian, and Alhaji Tirimisiyu Ogunmefun, University Bursar.
